Procedure the Using the 600-MB1 Meter Base Adapters
F.2.16.1. Spinlab 600-MB1 (SP 1850) PLUG-IN METER BASE ADAPTER--
FORM 3S & 4S METERS
The purpose of this document is to present hookup instructions for in-service testing of CT-
metered installations using the Spinlab 600-MB1 Plug-in Meter Base Adapter for Form 3S and
4S meters.
TEST INSTRUCTIONS USING THE 2 BANANA PLUG CABLE
(INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE 3 BANANA PLUG CABLE ON THE NEXT PAGE)
When testing Form 3S and 4S installations, pull the meter and insert the MB1. The hookup
instructions are as follows:
1. FORM 3S: 3 WIRE, 1 CT
To measure Is: Insert duckbill probe into left prong, copper side up.
To measure Vs

: Insert red banana plug into #3 and black banana plug into #5.
2. FORM 3S: 2 WIRE, 1 CT, 1 PT
To measure Is: Insert duckbill probe into left prong, copper side up.

3. FORM 4S: 3 WIRE, 2 CT
