5000 MV ONLY!
F.3.1.9 Form 12 Meters—The Form 12 meter has 2 current coils and 2 stators. They
are self-contained Form 5 meters. To perform a meter verification test on these meters, you
will need both of the 5000-MV-SC2-2 probes from Spinlab. It requires 1 test to determine
the accuracy of the meter. Also, the clamp-on CTs have a lower limit of .5 amps. This
means that each conductor on a form 12 meter will have to be carrying .5 amps or more to
gain the accuracy of .2%. The hookup is as follows:
F.3.1.9.1 Form 12 Meter: Network
Automatic Phase Rotation Test—Voltage Cable Hookup:
o Red alligator clip—Phase A
o White alligator clip—Neutral
o Black alligator clip—Phase B
Test: Simultaneous Test of Both Phases at Once
Voltage Cable
o Red alligator clip to phase A (V

)
o White alligator clip to neutral. (V

)
o Black alligator clip on phase B (V
BN
).

(In the above illustration, a Y cable is connected to the P3 port for the sensors to attach.)
F.3.1.9.2 Form 12 Meter: 3 Wire Delta
Automatic Phase Rotation Test—Voltage Cable Hookup:
o Red alligator clip—Phase A
o White alligator clip—Phase B
o Black alligator clip—Phase C
