13. EXHAUST SYSTEM
General information
The exhaust system consists of a mufer installed on the cylinder together with a gasket, a spacer and a
heatproof bafe.
To solve problems in the exhaust system, see the relevant chapter [
16].
13.1. Removingandreplacingthemufer
1 - Remove the two nuts (1) and the screw (2) that
x the guard (3) and the mufer.
2 - Take out the mufer (4) and the heatproof bafe
(5).
3 - On assembly:
- thoroughly clean the cylinder contact surface,
removing all deposits or fragments on the hea-
tproof bafe;
- always replace damaged mufers;
- always replace the heatproof bafe (5) if it is
broken or cracked;
- tighten the two nuts (1) and the screw (2) to the
specied levels.
Tightening torques
1 Mufer xing nuts 8-10 Nm
2 Mufer xing screw 8-10 Nm
