10.1 Tools, Servicing Aids
Pliers (DIN 5254-A10) – 0811 611 8200
Socket, T27x125 – 0812 542 2104
Installing sleeve (5) – 1115 893 4600
Press arbor – 1117 893 7200
Tube, 16 mm (0.63 in) inside diameter
10.2 Inspecting Clutch Drum
N Preparations, @ 3.1.
N Remove handlebar together with control handle, @
5.2.
N Remove the powerhead, @ 7.2.
N Remove clutch housing together with gearbox, @
9.2.
N Remove clutch housing from the gearbox, @ 9.4.
N Inspect the clutch drum (1) for signs of wear.
If there are visible signs of wear on the inside diameter of
the clutch drum (1):
N Measure remaining wall thickness ‘a’.
If the remaining wall thickness ‘a’ is less than 80% of the
original wall thickness ‘b’:
N Install a new clutch drum (1), @ 10.3.
10.3 Removing the Clutch Drum
N Preparations, @ 3.1.
N Remove handlebar together with control handle, @
5.2.
N Remove the powerhead, @ 7.2.
N Remove clutch housing with gearbox, @ 9.2.
N Remove clutch housing from the gearbox, @ 9.4.
N Remove the circlip (3) with pliers DIN 5254-A10 –
0811 611 8200.
N Use press arbor 1117 893 7200 to remove the clutch
drum (1).
