Socket, T27 – 0812 542 2104
Assembly tool – 1117 890 0900
Torque wrench – 5910 890 0302
Screwdriver, T27x200 – 5910 890 2415
Pin punch, 3 mm (1/8 in)
STIHL multipurpose grease – 0781 120 1110
STIHL gear grease – 0781 120 1118
Loctite 242 (medium-strength threadlocking
adhesive) – 0786 111 2101
11.2 Testing Auger Brake
N Engage the auger brake.
N Start the engine.
N Open the throttle wide for no more than 3 seconds –
the auger must not rotate.
N With the engine at idle speed, disengage the auger
brake.
N Open the throttle wide.
N Activate the auger brake manually – the auger must
come to a standstill without any perceptible delay.
11.3 Removing the Brake Band
N Preparations, @ 3.1.
N Disengage the auger brake.
N Remove handlebar together with control handle, @
5.2.
N Remove the powerhead, @ 7.2.
N Remove clutch housing together with gearbox, @
9.2.
N Remove clutch housing from the gearbox, @ 9.4.
N Remove the clutch drum, @ 10.3.
N Take out the screw (12).
N Remove the cover (11).
N Remove the cover (18).
N Engage the auger brake.
