21 Inspection and Maintenance
the mowing blade before mounting and at regular intervals 
thereafter. Do not mount a worn, broken or damaged 
mowing blade.
WARNING
The mowing blade has sharp edges. If it contacts your flesh, 
it will cut you, even if it is not moving. Always wear heavy-
duty work gloves when mounting or otherwise handling the 
mowing blade, @ 5.3.
To replace the mowing blade:
► Tilt the robotic mower onto its side and lean it securely 
against a stable wall.
► Push in both tabs (1) on the carrier plate with one hand 
and hold.
► Remove the fastening nut (2) with your other hand. 
► Remove the mowing blade including the fastening nut.
► Mount the new mowing blade (2) as depicted above. The 
retainers (3) must fit into the holes in the mowing blade.
► Turn the fastening nut (4) clockwise until you hear several 
audible clicks.
► Confirm having mounted a new mowing blade in the 
"Service" menu, @ 15.5.

21.4.1 Mounting the Carrier Plate
WARNING
To reduce the risk of personal injury from thrown or flung 
objects, do not mount a worn, broken or damaged carrier 
plate.
WARNING
To reduce the risk of laceration injuries, always wear heavy-
duty work gloves when mounting or otherwise handling the 
carrier plate, @ 5.3.
To mount the carrier plate:
► Tilt the robotic mower onto its side and lean it securely 
against a wall.
► Clean the mowing deck with a brush or a slightly 
dampened cloth.
