Star topology is not recommended. This use case is not common, nor is it suggested in
the DW CAN bus specification. This nonstandard implementation requires careful study
and analysis of the candidate bus cable, which is typically beyond the capabilities of a
typical FRC team.
This topology may be used when performing basic testing on a bench-setup with a small
network (few modules and short cable travel). However, this use case should not be
construed as evidence guaranteeing that star topology is a robust solution. Star topology
is not a robust general solution to be relied on for critical applications.
