In the Premiere menu you can find important
information concerning the reception of
Premiere channels. Within the Premiere
menu you can change the settings of your set-
top box so as to optimise the reception of
Premiere channels.
As you press the buttons to move the
highlighting up or down the Premiere menu,
additional information pops up to the right of
the menu.
Each of the eight screens you can display from
the Premiere menu is described briefly
below.
Change PIN-Code
To watch programmes that are locked
because they have a rating of FSK16 or
FSK18, you must enter a PIN-code. When you
first get your smartcard, it has a PIN-code
supplied with it. However, we recommend that
you use the Change PIN-code screen to
change this PIN-code to something you will
remember easily. See also page 21.
Smartcard
When you highlight Smartcard in the
Premiere menu, the smartcard serial number
pops up. You may need to display this screen
and supply the information on it if you ring the
Call Centre for help. See also page 36.
System
When you highlight System in the Premiere
menu, the model name of your set-top box
pops up. You may need to display this screen
and supply the information on it if you ring the
Call Centre for help. From the System screen
you can display the Software Update screen
by pressing the red button and the Version
number screen by pressing the blue button.
See also page 36.
Software update
When you highlight Software update in the
Premiere menu, the date of the last update
pops up. Software updates are the way you
add the latest features to your set-top box.
Messages appear on your TV screen to tell you
when an update is available. You can start a
software update from the Software update
screen. See also page 38.
Network scan
Your set-top box automatically scans for
channels when you first install it. When you
highlight Network scan in the Premiere
menu, the date of the last scan pops up. You
can scan for channels at any time using the
Network scan screen. Several different types
of scan are possible. See also page 26.
TV settings
This screen, shown on page 16, allows you to
specify the type of TV you have connected to
your set-top box. Making the correct settings
at this screen will ensure you have the best
picture available. See also page 25.
Dolby Digital
You can use this screen to automatically send
Dolby Digital audio (if it is available for the
current programme) to any equipment you
have connected to the DIGITAL AUDIO OUT
connector. See also page 25.
Pre-programmed channel list
You use this screen to choose either German
or Austrian channels for the channel list that
appears after your set-top box scans for
channels. See also page 25.
