Open and place the restraints to either side of the cot until the patient is positioned on the cot mattress. Lengthen and
buckle the restraint around the patient. Shorten the restraint until the required tightness is achieved.

Press the red button (A) on the front of the buckle receiver to release the buckle tang (B) (Figure 10). Pull the buckle tang
out of the receiver.
TToo cclloossee tthhee rreessttrraaiinntt::
Push the tang into the receiver until you hear a click. Make sure that the buckle tang passes through both links (C) when
you fasten the chest restraint (Figure 10).

Grasp the buckle tang, turn it at an angle to the webbing, then pull it out (Figure 11). A hemmed tab at the end of the
webbing prevents the buckle tang from coming off the strap.

Grasp the hemmed tab and pull the webbing back through the buckle tang until the required tightness is achieved (Figure
12).
