Most wind turbines are three-phase PM type. Therefore, either a wind turbine controller or
a direct connection to the MPPT via a simple protection circuit will be required.
DO NOT use a wind turbine that exceeds 400V.
Use a self-breaking wind turbine. Once the batteries are fully charged and the
inverter is not exporting any power the load can drop. This can cause the turbine to
speed up dramatically, which can be very dangerous and usually happens suddenly.
Thus, it is essential to use a self-breaking turbine.
