3.5 Memory Support and Installation
Note: Check the Supermicro website for recommended memory modules.
Important: Exercise extreme care when installing or removing memory modules to prevent
any possible damage.
Memory Support
The X13DEM motherboard supports up to 8TB of 3DS RDIMM/RDIMM DDR5 (288-pin)
memory with speeds up to 4800MT/s. (Note 1 below). To enhance memory performance, do
not mix memory modules of di󰀨erent speeds and sizes. Please follow all memory installation
instructions given below.
Note 1: DDR5 memory supports up 4800 MT/s, and it supports up to 4400 MT/s in 32-DIMM
conguration.
Note 2: Memory speed/capacity support depends on the processors used in the system.
