Motherboard Connections
This section describes the connections on the motherboard and provides pinout denitions.
Note that depending on how the system is congured, not all connections are required. The
LEDs on the motherboard are also described here. A motherboard layout indicating component
locations may be found in Chapter 1. More detail can be found in the Motherboard Manual
Please review the Safety Precautions in Appendix A before installing or removing components.
4.1 Power Connections
Power Supply Connectors
Two power supply connections, located at PSU1/PSU2, provide main power to your system,
and ve 8-pin power connectors (JPMW1~ JPMW5) are used for +12V devices. Another two
6-pin power connectors (JPWR1 and JPWR4) provide additional power for system use. All
these power connectors meet the ATX SSI EPS 12V specication and must be connected to
your power supply to provide adequate power to your system.
Important: To provide adequate power to your system, be sure to connect the main power
supplies (PSU1/PSU2) to the power supply. Failure to do so may void the manufacturer
warranty on your power supply and motherboard.
