Motherboard Connections
This section describes the connections on the motherboard and provides pinout denitions.
Note that depending on how the system is congured, not all connections are required. The
LEDs on the motherboard are also described here. A motherboard layout indicating component
locations may be found in Chapter 1. More detail can be found in the Motherboard Manual
Please review the Safety Precautions in Appendix A before installing or removing components.
4.1 Power Connections
Power Supply Connectors
Two power supply connections, located at PSU1/PSU2, provide main power to your system,
and ve 8-pin power connectors (JPMW1~ JPMW5) are used for +12V devices. Another two
6-pin power connectors (JPWR1 and JPWR4) provide additional power for system use. All
these power connectors meet the ATX SSI EPS 12V specication and must be connected to
your power supply to provide adequate power to your system.
Important: To provide adequate power to your system, be sure to connect the main power
supplies (PSU1/PSU2) to the power supply. Failure to do so may void the manufacturer
warranty on your power supply and motherboard.
