REAR SHOCK ABSORBER
Removal
Remove the left & right covers. (screws x 8)
Remove the luggage box. (bolts x 4, nuts x 2,
screw x 1)
Remove the rear carrier. (bolts x 3)
Remove the body cover (bolts x2)
Remove the air cleaner bolts (bolts x2)
Remove the lower nut of the rear shock
absorber (bolt x 1)
Remove the upper nut of the rear shock
absorber (bolt x 1)
Remove the rear shock absorber.
Installation
Install the rear shock absorber according to
the reverse procedure of removal.
Caution
Torque values
Rear shock absorber lower mount bolt:
2.4~3.0 kgf-m
Rear shock absorber upper mount bolt:
3.5~4.5 kgf-m
The rear shock absorber has to be replaced
with one set and can not be replaced by
unauthorized persons. Otherwise, it might
damage the rubber bushing and
construction.
