Thermal Safety
Thecellsurfacescanbehotenoughtoburntheskinduringasamplerun.Ifyouareconductingasubambient
testontheDSC,coldcouldalsocauseinjury.Afterrunninganytypeofexperiment,youmustallowtheDSC
celltoreturntoroomtemperaturebefore youtouchtheinnercellsu
rfaces.
Lifting the Instrument
TheDSCisafairlyheavyinstrument.Inordertoavoidinjury,particularlytotheback,pleasefollowthisadvice:
WARNING: Use two people to lift and/or carry the instrument. The instrument is too
heavy for one person to handle safely.
