Replacing Fuses
WARNING: Always unplug the instrument before you examine or replace the fuses.
Replacing the DSC Fuses
The DSC contains internal fuses that are not user serviceable. If any of the internal fuses blows, a hazard may
exist. Call your TA Instruments service representative.
The only fuses that you can replace yourself are the fuses
located in the power entry module located at the rear of the
instrument. To check or change these fuses:
1. Turn the instrument off and remove the power cord.
2. Insert a small screwdriver at the edge of the power entry
module door and pry it open.
3. Insert the screwdriver on the edge of the fuse holder to pull
it out of the instrument.
4. Remove old fuses and replace the fuses only with the type
and rating indicated on the instrument's rear panel.
5. Place fuse holder back into opening and push the door shut.
NOTE: For information on replacing the RCS fuses or for maintenance needed for the various
coolers, refer to the appropriate manual or the online help associated with the DSC instrument
control software.
