12 Description TB9400/TN9275 Installation and Operation
© Tait International Limited May 2023
P25 Phase 1 FDMA, or 6.25kHz equivalent P25 Phase 2 TDMA
An IP connected transceiver in analog conventional simulcast networks
The TN9275 P25 analog gateway provides a subset of P25 conventional
operation when compared to the TB9400 base station. It provides all of the
functions of a channel group master with analog, P25 and dual
conventional operation, but it does not have an RF transceiver.
Physically, the gateway module is similar to a reciter without the RF
transmit and receive connectors.
The gateway and base station share the same firmware. The first firmware
release supporting the TN9275 operation is 3.45.00
In this manual, where it says “base station” or “reciter”, it should also be
understood to generally refer to the TN9275 gateway, with the exception of
any RF and transceiver functions.
1.1 Series 2 and Series 1 Reciters
Series 2 reciters have been in production since 2020, and replace series 1
reciters, which are no longer in production.
Refer to the latest software release note for series 2 hardware and firm-
ware compatibility information.
1.1.1 Identifying a Series 2 Reciter
Series 2 reciters can be identified by the label on the back of the reciter.
Together with the type code and serial number is this graphic indicating
that this is a series 2 reciter:
