PROBLEM PROBABLE CAUSE REMEDY
The display reads “TOO COOL”
(Zone ID) and will not allow a cook
cycle to start.
This error message displays when
a zone drops 39 degrees below set
point.
Loose frozen product (e.g., onions,
shrimp) is being piled on top of the
thermocouples. This can drop the
plate temperature around the
thermocouple, causing a fault.
Inspect operation and inform the
operator to spread the product to a
uniform thickness. Avoid laying
product directly over the center of
the cook zone (where the
thermocouples are positioned).
Frozen whole muscle product
(chicken breast) may cause this
fault if too many are placed on the
grill or directly over the
thermocouples.
Inspect operation and inform the
operator to reduce the number of
products being laid. Show the
operator how to properly place
product, avoiding placement of
product directly over the
thermocouples.
