Probe Location Abbreviations
TB: Top Back Upper Platen
TF: Top Front Upper Platen
BB: Bottom Back Lower Cook Surface
BC: Bottom Center Lower Cook Surface
BF: Bottom Front Lower Cook Surface
The I/O Board is not responding
This message is displayed if communication to the
main interface board is not being made.
Probe Open
This message is displayed when the temperature
probe for the zone(s) shown on line 2 of the
message indicates a temperature greater than
624°F (329°C).
Probe Fail
This message is displayed when the temperature
probe for the zone(s) shown on line 2 of the
message indicates that the temperature has not
raised by 5°F in 4 minutes while the heater for that
zone is on.
Clam Did Not Latch
This message is displayed if the platen does not
latch within 6 seconds of the latch solenoid first
being energized or any time after 9 seconds of the
latch solenoid being energized.
Clam Still Latched
This message is displayed if the platen does not
open within 4 seconds of deenergizing the latch
solenoid.
Platen Not Level
This message is displayed when a motor has not
detected one of the the hall signals or is not seeing
the phase input.
Too Cool Temperature
This message is displayed when the temperature of
a cook zone drops 39°F (22°C) below set
temperature.
Too Hot Temperature
This message is displayed when the temperature of
a cook zone raises 79°F (44°C) above set
temperature.
Ignition Failure
This message only applies to gas grills. This
message is displayed when a successful ignition is
not detected after first turning on the bottom back
heater. The error occurs after 15 seconds for a
single gas ignition type and 50 seconds for a multi
gas ignition type.
Blower Failure
This message only applies to gas grills. This
message is displayed when blower operation is not
detected for 10 seconds within 15 seconds of first
turning on the bottom back heater.
Upper Platen Failure
This message is displayed when a motor failure
occurred while attempting the function shown on line
2 of the message. If line 2 is blank, the control was
not able to associate the failure with a platen
function. This message will alternate with a message
that shows the motor identification and the specific
motor failure.
Hall Stall
This message is displayed when no motor
movement is detected for 1 second while attempting
to move the motor when a stall is not expected
