PROBLEM PROBABLE CAUSE REMEDY
The heater is not heating or is
heating too slowly. The display
reads “CALL FOR SERVICE - NO
HEAT IN ZONE XX.” (Zone ID)
This error message displays when
there is a call for heat but no
temperature rise in 4 minutes.
Upper Platen: The power cord is
loose or partially unplugged at the
wall receptacle.
Check the plug receptacle and
reset the connection.
Lower plate: The combustion ratio
of the burner is out of adjustment.
Measure the CO/CO2 with the
combustion meter and adjust per
combustion meter instructions.
The display reads “BLOWER
FAILURE”.
The blower is faulty. Replace the blower.
The IDC or the relay is faulty. Replace the IDC or the relay.
The pressure switch is faulty. Replace the switch.
The burner will not light. The
display reads “IGNITION
FAILURE”.
The quick disconnect gas hose is
not fully engaged.
Re‐engage the quick disconnect.
The manual shutoff valve is in the
OFF position.
Turn it to the ON position.
The gas regulator is adjusted
incorrectly.
Correct the gas pressure.
Air is in the gas hose. Wait 5 minutes before relighting.
The air adjustment is incorrect. Adjust the air flow.
The processor control is faulty. Replace the control.
The Ignition Detection Control
(IDC) is faulty.
Replace the control.
The pressure switch is faulty. Replace the pressure switch.
The flue restrictors are open too
wide.
The flue restrictors should be open
only 1/2” ‐ 3/4” (13 ‐ 19 mm).
The gas solenoid is faulty. Replace the solenoid.
The electrode is faulty. Replace the electrode.
The interface board is faulty. Replace the interface board.
The burner lights but will not
remain lit.
The electrode is faulty. Replace the electrode. Clean and
adjust.
The gas/air ratio is incorrect. Readjust the air shutter.
Improper ground. Check ground connections.
The IDC is faulty. Replace the IDC.
The flue restrictors are open too
wide.
The flue restrictors should be open
only 1/2” ‐ 3/4” (13 ‐ 19 mm).
L1 and Neutral are reversed on the
control power.
Reverse the L1 and Neutral.
The pressure switch is faulty. Replace the pressure switch.
