Settings (Audio)
< During playback of a DVD-Audio, speakers are fixed to "Large"
regardless of the setting.

During playback of a DVD-Audio which allows downmixing, if
C, LS, or RS speakers is set to Off, the audio is automatically
downmixed to stereo.
Speaker Setting
This setting is necessary only when your amplifier is connected
via the 5.1CH AUDIO OUT jack.
This setting does not affect digital audio output.
Select "Start" and press the ENTER button.

Select a speaker by pressing the UP/DOWN buttons, and
change the size by pressing the LEFT/RIGHT buttons.

L/R: front speakers
C: center speaker
LS: left surround speaker
RS: right surround speaker
SW: subwoofer

The size of L/R is fixed to Large. You cannot change.

Note that the LS and RS speakers cannot be set independently.
C, RS and LS can each be set to Large, Small or Off. Set a
speaker to Large if the main speaker cone is 12cm or more; set
to Small if it is smaller than 12cm.
The subwoofer (SW) can only be set to On or Off.
The graphic on the right of the screen represents your speaker
setup, with the currently selected speaker's name highlighted
in blue, and the speakers set to "Large" or "Small" highlighted in
yellow.
Move the cursor to "Size" by pressing the UP button.

Press the RIGHT button to select "Distance".

Select a speaker by pressing the UP/DOWN buttons, and
change the distance by pressing the LEFT/RIGHT buttons.

Set the distance from your listening position to each speaker.

The distance setting for any speaker that was set to "Off" in the
Size screen will be grayed out.
Adjustable range (0.1 meter's step)
L/R: 0.3m to 9m
C, SW: ±2m of the L/R setting
LS, RS: -6m to +2m of the L/R setting

Based on the distance you set here, delay time is set
automatically.

This setting does not apply to SACD playback.
When all the setting has been finished, press the ENTER
button to save the setting and return to the Setup menu.
