6.2 EXECUTABLE SW FOR DIAGNOSTICS WITH PC
1. Remove the guard from the console's MINI USB connector.
2. Connect the console to the PC via the USB - MINI USB cable.
3. Wait 5 seconds until the LCD lights up. After around 20/30 sec.,the LCD willbegin to ash
andthekeyboardwillbeswitchedo,buttheequipmentwillcontinuetocommunicatewiththePC.
(Skillmill Console version);
Note that from the SW High Kit BA_1.43 version of the Skillmill Connect version, the default display
is always on, even when no-one is using the equipment.
4. The rst time the PC is connected with Skillmill or New Group Cycle (D92) or MYRUN
TECHNOGYM or MYCYCLING, it will ask you to install a driver for the detected device.
Stop the automatic search for the driver on Windows update, and select the manual path
where the le was previously saved on the PC (it can be downloaded from Technogym
Direct: myrun_usb_driver.inf).
The Skillmill, New Group Cycle (D92), MYRUN TECHNOGYM and MYCYCLING drivers are
the same, so once the driver has been installed for one of the items of equipment in the list, the
procedure does not need to be repeated for the others.
In the event of problems with the executable “Terminal”, close down the program and disconnect
the USB cable from the PC, then reconnect the console to the PC via the USB - MINI USB cable
and open the executable again.
The protocol described by the document denes the set of messages that can be sent to the
equipment. The messages are purely ASCII. This executable can be used to perform a series of
reading and diagnostic operations and receive the responses from the system.
5. Launch the software Terminal.exe.
6. Thersttimetheprogramisexecuted,setafewseingsonthescreenasshownbelow:
- Click Rescan, in the top left corner
- Select the correct COM port
- SelectBaudrate19200
- Tick +CR
- Click on Connect
7. The commands can now be entered, writing the string in the area provided.
