SECTION 2
OPERATING LIMITATIONS
2 Introduction
Section 2 includes operating limitations, instrument markings, and basic placards necessary for safe operation of the P2008,
its engine, standard systems and standard equipment.
2.1.1 Airspeed Limitations
Airspeed limitations and their operational significance are shown below:
Never exceed this speed in any operation
NO
Cruising Speed
Never exceed this speed unless in smooth air, and then only with
caution
A
Do not make full or abrupt control movements above this speed as
this may cause stress in excess of limit load factor
FE
Maximum flap
extended speed
Never exceed this speed for any given flap setting
Maximum speed in level flight at max continuous power (MSL)
X
The speed which results in the greatest gain of altitude in a given
horizontal distance
Y
The speed which results in the greatest gain of altitude in a given
time
2.1.2 Airspeed Indicator Markings
Airspeed indicator markings and their color code are explained in the following table:
FlapOperatingRange (lower limit is V
S0
, at maximum weight and upper limit is
maximum speed permissible with full flaps)
NormalOperatingRange (lower limit is V
S1
at maximum weight and flaps at 0°
and upper limit is maximum structural speed V
)
Operations must be conducted with caution and only in smooth air
Maximum speed for all operations
