GNSS Antenna Installation Guidelines
The antenna must be installed according to the antenna manufacturer’s instructions
to obtain the maximum performance of GNSS receiver.
The antenna location must be carefully evaluated if operating in conjunction with any
other antenna or transmitter.
The antenna must not be installed inside metal cases or near any obstacle that may
degrade features such as antenna lobes and gain.
Powering the External LNA (active antenna)
The LNA of active antenna needs a power source because 1.8V or 3V DC voltage required
by the active antenna is not supplied by the ME910G1 module but can be easily included
by the host design.
Note
: In case of GNSS antenna placed close to module 15dB gain is
enough, in case of long cable the gain has to be increased up to 30dB.
