Warning Remove all power from the unit prior to opening the transmitter
enclosure. Electrocution can result if power is present. ▲
The following procedure applies to all transmitter boards except for the AC
power supply. Refer to “AC Power Supply” later in this chapter.
1. Verify that power has been removed from the transmitter.
2. Remove the screws on the faceplate (cover) and open it.
3. If replacing a board, remove the board that is currently installed:
a. Unplug any screw-in terminal connectors that have been wired
from the board.
b. Remove the board retaining screw in the upper card guide.
c. Firmly but carefully push down on the top edge of the board to
disengage the board connector from the transmitter. Pull up and
out on the bottom edge of the board to remove it.
4. Align the board with the upper and lower card guide slots, and insert
the board into the slots.
5. Line up the 3-pin by 16-pin male connector on the board with the
corresponding connector on the back of the transmitter.
6. Firmly but carefully push on the board until the connector is fully
seated.
7. Insert and tighten the board retaining screw in the upper card guide.
8. Connect the screw-terminal connector(s) to the corresponding
replacement board connectors.
9. Refer to Chapter 4 for wiring procedures.
10. Close the transmitter and tighten the cover screws.
