beforeresumingnormaloperation.Ifyoudoundockitandthentrytoresumenormaloperation,youwillget
anerrormessage,andyouwillhavetorestartthesystem.
Tocausethecomputertoenterhibernationmode,doanyofthefollowing:
•PresstheFn+F12keys.
•Ifyouhavedenedoneofthefollowingactionsastheeventthatcausesthesystemtogointohibernation
mode,performthataction.
–Closingthelid.
–Pressingthepowerbutton.
–PressingFn+F4keys.
Also,thecomputergoesintohibernationmodeautomaticallyineitherofthefollowingconditions:
•Ifa“hibernationtime”hasbeensetonthetimer,andiftheuserdoesnotdoanyoperationwiththe
keyboard,theTrackPoint,theharddiskdrive,theparallelconnector,orthediskettedrivewithinthattime.
•Ifthetimerconditionsaresatisedinsuspendmode.
Whenthepoweristurnedon,thecomputerreturnsfromhibernationmodeandresumesoperation.The
hibernationleinthebootrecordontheharddiskdriveisread,andsystemstatusisrestoredfromthe
harddiskdrive.
