Wireless client
requirements
Only wireless client adapters compliant to IEEE802.11b DSSS, will be able to communi-
cate with the SpeedTouch™ and other members of the SpeedTouch™ (W)LAN envi-
ronment.
It is highly recommended that the wireless client adapter is Wi-Fi™ certified to ensure
smooth interoperability.
To use SpeedTouch™'s encryption security features, the wireless client adapters should
at least support 64-bit WEP encryption.
Note For initial wireless connectivity (i.e. SpeedTouch™ device with default
settings) a wireless client adapter supporting 128-bits WEP encryption is
mandatory.
