7.4.3 Auto Channel Update
In this menu you can perform an automatic channel update on Astra 23.5 satellite. You can
setup a mode and desired time for this. It will enable you to update the complete channel
database of your receiver or save you the time for a full channel scan.
Automatic Update: Use
t/u to select ON as the default setting is OFF.
Update Mode: With
t/u you can adjust if you want to perform the update Daily or
Weekly.
Update Time: Use the 0~9 buttons to enter the desired time.
Update Days: Only available in Weekly mode. Here you can use OK to open the list and
p/q to select the desired day. Afterwards press OK to choose it.
At the desired time the receiver will give a message that it is going to perform this function.
Depending on the recevier mode you will be able to see it on screen. During this process you
still have the possility to Cancel it. After the receiver has finished the search progress you will be
informed about the result. Press OK to save the result in the receiver or select Cancel to discard it.
To deactivate this function again you can set the Automatic Update to OFF.
NOTE: This function will provide an update for all available channels from the satellite and will add/
might delete channels to/from the channel list. It will also allow you to receive channels which are newly
added on new transponders. Please consider that in this case already deleted services will be added to
the channel list again!
7.4.4 TV Programme Guide
The EPG (Electronic Programme Guide) is a very useful function that allows you to watch
programme schedules and information on screen and add desired events for recording. For
detailed instruction and information please refer to chapter 6.7 EPG (Electronic Programme
Guide), the functions are identical.
7.5 Timer
In this menu you can adjust the time and programme timers. These submenus are available:
Time adjust and Set Timer.
7.5.1 Time Adjust
This menu allows you to set the way the receiver collects and adjusts the time. You can also
adjust the Auto Standby function here. Use
p/q to highlight the setting you wish to change
and
t/u or 0~9 to change the value of the highlighted setting. Press OK for a list with all
available options for the chosen setting.
Auto Time Setting: Defines if the time is colllected automatically via satellite, the default setting
is ON. Use
t/u to select OFF if you prefer to set up the time manually.
GMT Offset: When the Auto Time Setting is kept ON the receiver shows the current
used offset. In case Auto Time Setting is OFF you can adjust your desired
offset between: +0:00 – -12:00 hours.
Summer time: In case Auto Time Setting is OFF you can adjust the summer time here.
Current Date: In case Auto Time Setting is OFF you can adjust the date here.
Current Time: In case Auto Time Setting is OFF you can adjust the current time here.
OTA check time: This function is checking every day when receiver is in standby mode if a
newer software is avaibele.
Default time is 03:00Hours and can set up to other time if you wish.
Auto Standby: This function is a new, power saving feature that helps you reducing the
power consumption. It switches the receiver to Standby when no RCU
command has been given for at least the set time. Possible settings are:
1H up to12H and OFF to deactivate this function.
NOTE: 5 min after switching the receiver to Standby it enters the deep sleep mode. In this time the
receiver is able to start up quickly. Starting up from deep sleep takes approx. 1 min.
