If the Transponder is transmitting a BDS 0,8 Extended Squitter Aircraft
Identification and Type Report, the following screen will be displayed. The
information displayed includes Aircraft Type, Squitter Period, and Flight ID.
7. Press the AUTO/TEST/MANUAL switch to select the next screen:
If the Transponder is Airborne (simulated) and is transmitting a BDS 0,9
Extended Squitter Airborne Velocity Report, the following screen will be
displayed. The information displayed includes Velocity Type, East/West Velocity
(knots), North/South Velocity (Knots), Geometric Height Difference between
Barometric and GNSS Height (Feet), and Barometric or GNSS Vertical Rate (Up
or Down in Feet/min).
8. Press the AUTO/TEST/MANUAL switch to select the next screen:
The TR-220 will decode and display the Aircraft Mode S Address as shown in the
following display. In addition, the TR-220 decodes and displays the
Interrogator Identifier (II) field.
