1. Tilt stopper
The outboard motor can also be tilted up
and down using the switch provided
under the bottom cowl.
It is possible to tilt up or down in spite of
main switch “ON” or “OFF”.

Manual relief valve
If the battery is dead, and/or the power
tilt switch is inoperative open the manual
valve completely in the Manual direction.
This allows the outboard motor to be
tilted manually.

Make sure the manual relief valve is closed
before operating the outboard motor. If the
manual relief valve is not closed, the out-
board motor will be tilted up when shifting in
reverse.

Before opening the manual relief valve, make
sure nobody is under the outboard motor. If
the outboard motor is in the tilted upposi-
tion with the manual relief valve loosend, the
outboard motor will be tilted down suddenly.
