Gear Selector
High is the primary driving range for the TOMCAR
®
.
Low is intended for use where maximum power is required.
To change gears, always stop the vehicle and, with the
engine idling, move the lever to the desired gear.
Do not attempt to shift gears with the engine speed above idle
or while the vehicle is moving.
Always shut off the engine, remove the ignition key and place the
transmission in gear with the parking brake locked whenever the
vehicle is left unattended.
Maintaining shift linkage adjustment is important for proper transmission function. See your supplier if you experience any shifting problems.
Shifting into reverse should be with one swift motion, without stopping in the neutral position.
Do not attempt to shift the transmission while the vehicle is moving, or damage to the transmission could result. Always shift when the vehicle
is stationary and the engine is at idle. Make sure the lever is in the proper gear position.
