AlwayscheckandchangetheairlterattheintervalsoutlinedinthePeriodic
Maintenance Chart.
1.
Lift the cargo box and locate the air box on the right-hand side.
2.
Removeandinspectthelterfordebris.Checkfortearsordamage.Tapgentlyoncleanareawiththeairlterelement.
(Lookintothelightthroughthelterelement.Ifnolightisvisible,thenthelterisclogged.Replaceasneeded.)
3.
Reinstallthelterwiththearrowpointingtowardtheengineandsecurethecoverknob.
4.
Reassemble all components.
Itisrecommendedthatyoureplacetheairlterafterafteritssecondcleaning.
To clean the cartridge, gently tap on the end with the handle of a screw driver (replace cartridge if it is very dirty or damaged).

CAUTION
Donotusepressurizedairorsolventstocleanthelter.Pressurizedairandsolventsmaydamagethelter.
Operationofthevehiclewithoutanairltercancauseenginedamage.Alwaysreinstalltheairlterafterremovingitforservice.
Service to the engine should only be performed once the engine cools to the surrounding outside tempurature.
