Makesurethattheengineoilandoillterarecheckedregularly(outlinedinthePeriodicMaintenanceChart).
Always change the oil at the intervals outlined in the Periodic Maintenance Chart.
Theoilltermustalwaysbechangedwhenchangingtheoil.
CAUTION
Mixing brands or using non-recommended oil may cause serious engine damage. Never substitute or mix oil brands.
Vehicleoperationwithinsufcient,deterioratedorcontaminatedengineoilwillcauseacceleratedwearandmayresultinengineseizure,
accident and injury. Always perform the maintenance procedures as outlined in the Periodic Maintenance Chart.
Oil Check
PleasendtherelevantdipsticklocationdependingonwhichengineyouhaveinyourTOMCAR
®
vehicle.
Follow these steps when performing the above check: 1
1. Position the vehicle on a level surface.
2. Ensure the engine is off, the vehicle is in neutral, and the
parking brake is engaged.
3. Remove the dipstick (1) and wipe it dry with a clean cloth.
4. Reinstall the dipstick completely.
5. Remove the dipstick and check to see that the oil level is at the
full mark. Add oil if necessary.
6. Do not overll.
