Engine Oil Change
Oil & Filter Change
Hot oil can cause serious burns. Do not allow hot oil to come into contact with skin.
1.
Place the gear selector in neutral and run the engine two to three minutes until warm.
2.
Stop the engine.
3.
Clean the area around the drain plug at the bottom of the engine.
4.
Place a drain pan beneath the drain plug.
5.
Opentheoilllercapforbetteraircirculation.
6.
Remove the drain plug. Allow the oil to drain completely.
7.
Reinstall the drain plug.
8.
Placeapieceofclothbeneaththeoillter.Usinganoillterwrench,turntheltercounterclockwisetoremove.
9.
Usingacleandrycloth,cleantheltersealingsurfaceonthecrankcase.
10.
LubricatetheO-ringonthenewlterwithalmofengineoil.
11.
Installthenewlterandturnbyhanduntiltheltergasketcontactsthesealingsurface,thenturnanadditional1/2turn.
12.
Fill oil through the oil cap opening. Bring the level to the upper mark on the dipstick.
13.
Place the oil cap in position and close.
14.
Start the engine. Wait until oil pressure indicator light turns off.
15.
Stop the engine, and wait for two minutes.
16.
Check the oil level on the dipstick and add oil as necessary.
17.
Disposeofusedlterandoilproperly.Keepourplanetclean.
NOTE:
The sealing surfaces on the drain plug and oil tank should be clean and free of burrs, nicks or scratches.
