6. SETTINGS FOR THE TOTAL STATION
The following settings are necessary in order to use the total station as part of the Remote Control
System.
For other functions and operations, see the operator's manual for your total station.
For further details regarding Bluetooth communications, see "2. PRECAUTIONS Precautions
concerning Bluetooth wireless technology"
• The total station to use should have Bluetooth communication function and the status of the total
station should be ready to communicate.
• Bluetooth communication causes total station battery power to be depleted at a rate higher than that
for normal operation.
6.1.1 Settings for Bluetooth Communication
• When communicating between the total station and Remote Controller using Bluetooth wireless
technology, the modem for the total station on the Remote Controller is always "Master" and the
total station is always "Slave".
• When communicating between the data collector and Remote Controller using Bluetooth wireless
technology, the modem for the data collector on the Remote Controller is always "Slave". Set the
connection mode of the data collector to "Master".
