0.65L(22oz)ofhigh-qualitySAE85W-140gear
lube.
Important:Iftheplanetaryllsbeforethe0.65L
(22oz)ofoilisadded,waitonehourorinstall
theplugandmovethemachineapproximately10
feettodistributetheoilthroughthebrakesystem.
Then,removetheplugandaddtheremainingoil.
7.Installtheplug.
8.Repeattheprocedureontheoppositeplanetary/brake
assembly.

Lubricant
ServiceInterval:Every400hours
TherearaxleisshippedfromthefactorylledwithSAE
85W-140gearlube.Checktheoillevelbeforetheengineis
rststartedandevery400hoursthereafter.Thecapacityis
2.4L(80oz).Visuallyinspectforleaksdaily.
1.Positionthemachineonalevelsurface.
2.Removeacheckplugfromoneendoftheaxle(Figure
44)andmakesurethatthelubricantisuptothebottom
ofthehole.
Note:Ifthelevelislow ,removethellplug(Figure
44)andaddenoughlubricanttobringthelevelupto
thebottomofthecheckplugholes.

Themachinemustnotcreepwhenthetractionpedalis
released.Ifitdoescreep,adjustit.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,shuttheengine
off,positionthespeedcontrolintotheLowrange,and
lowerthecuttingunitstotheoor.
Note:Pressonlytherightbrakepedal,andsetthe
parkingbrake.
2.Jackuptheleftsideofthemachineuntiltheleftfront
tireisofftheshopoor.
3.Supportthemachinewithjackstandstopreventit
fromfallingaccidentally.
4.Starttheengineandallowittorunatlowidle.
5.Adjustthejamnutsonthepumprodendtomovethe
pumpcontroltubeforwardtoeliminateforwardcreep
orrearwardtoeliminaterearwardcreep(Figure46).
