InstallingtheSparkPlugs
1.Installthesparkplugsandthemetalwasher.Ensure
thattheairgapissetcorrectly.
2.Tightenthesparkplugsto22N-m(16ft-lb).
3.Connectthewirestothesparkplugs(Figure31).

Incertainconditions,gasolineisextremely
ammableandhighlyexplosive.Areorexplosion
fromgasolinecanburnyouandothersandcan
damageproperty.
Draingasolinefromthefueltankwhenthe
engineiscold.Dothisoutdoorsinanopenarea.
Wipeupanygasolinethatspills.
Neversmokewhendraininggasoline,andstay
awayfromanopenameorwhereasparkmay
ignitethegasolinefumes.
DrainingtheFuelTank
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,toassurefueltank
drainscompletely.Thendisengagethepowertakeoff
(PTO),settheparkingbrake,andturntheignitionkey
tooff.Removethekey.
2.Closethefuelshut-offvalveatthefueltank(Figure32).
3.Squeezetheendsofthehoseclamptogetherandslide
itupthefuellineawayfromfuellter(Figure32).
4.Pullthefuellineoffthefuellter(Figure32).Open
thefuelshut-offvalveandallowthegasolinetodrain
intoagascanordrainpan.
Note:Nowisthebesttimetoinstallanewfuellter
becausethefueltankisempty.RefertoReplacingthe
FuelFilter.
5.Installthefuellineontothefuellter.Slidethehose
clampclosetothevalvetosecurethefuelline.
