RemovingtheLastPipeandtheReamer
Important:Donotpullthedrillheadintothepipe
guide,oryoumaydamagethemachineorthedrillhead.
1.Usingtheexit-side-lockouttransmitter,enabletheexit
sidelockout.
2.Afterthereamerhasclearedtheground,ifyouhave
notalreadydoneso,disconnecttheproductbeing
installedfromthereamer.
3.Connectthedrillinguidpumptoasourceofclean
water.
4.Turnthepumpontoushcleanwaterthroughthe
pump,spindle,andreameruntilthewaterrunsclear.
5.Removeandstorethelastpipe;refertoRemovingthe
LastPipeandtheReamer(page74).
6.Leavetheleadbarclampedinthelowerwrench
(stationarywrench),butdonotconnectthedrillspindle
totheleadbar.
7.Removethereamerfromtheendoftheleadbaras
directedbythereamermanufacturer.
8.Releasethelowerwrench(stationarywrench)andpull
theleadbaroutofthepipeguide.
FinishingtheJob
Completethefollowingaftereachdayofuse:
•Connectthehandsprayguntothequickdisconnect
locatedattherearcompartment,andcleanthemachine
withcleanwater;refertoCleaningwiththeSpray-hose
Attachment(page114).
•Addgreasetothegreasettings;refertoGreasingthe
Machine(page83).
•Iftheairtemperatureisbelowfreezingorwillbebefore
thenextuse,refertoPreparingtheDrilling-uidSystem
forColdWeather(page111).
•Installthecontrolscovers;refertoOperator-controls
Covers(page24).
•Flushthedrillinguidoutofthedrilling-uidpumpwith
waterorantifreeze.
Important:Thedrilling-uidpumpmaybe
damagedifthedrilling-uiddriesupinthepump.

AdjustingtheApplicatorNozzle
Youcanadjusttheapplicatornozzletospraythread-joint
compound(TJC)eitherinafan-shapedsprayorasastream.
•Forfan-shapedspray,turnthesprayvalveonthesideof
thenozzlehorizontal(Figure87).
•Forastream,turnthesprayvalveonthesideofthe
nozzlevertical(Figure87).
