7.Shutofftheengine.
8.Wait3minutesandchecktheoillevel.

holeonthedipstick.
10.Replacethedipstickand,llercap,andthefront
enginepanel.
11.Checkforleaks.
Important:Donotoverllthecrankcasewith
oilbecausethismaycauseenginedamage.

1.Draintheoilfromtheengine;refertoChangingthe
EngineOil.
Placeadrippanbeneaththeoildriptraytoreceive
oilfromtheoillterandoilpassagesintheengine.
2.Turntheltercounterclockwisetoremoveit
(Figure41andFigure42).
Note:Disposeoftheoillterproperly.Recyclein
accordancewithlocalcodes.
3.Beforeinstallingthelter,lightlyoilthegasketon
thelterwithfresh,cleanoil.Screwthelteronby
handuntilthegasketcontactstheoillteradapter.
Tighten1/2to3/4turnmore.
4.Addoil;refertoAddingEngineOil.
