17. Remove the key from the shaft keyway (Fig. 947). 19. Remove the bearing and shaft assembly from the
pinion housing (Fig. 949).

20. Remove the grease seal from the shaft (Fig. 950).
18. Place the pinion shaft assembly in a press, shaft
side down. Press the pinion shaft assembly out of
the pinion housing (Fig. 948).
