GearboxLubricant
ThegearboxisdesignedtooperatewithSAE80W-90
gearlube.Althoughthegearboxisshippedwith
lubricantfromthefactory,checkthelevelbefore
operatingthecuttingunitforthersttimeandevery
150operatinghoursthereafter.Changethelubricant
inthegearboxevery400operatinghours.

ServiceInterval:Every150hours
1.Positionthemachineandcuttingunitonalevel
surface.
2.Lowerthemowerdecktothe2.5cm(1inch)
heightofcut.
3.DisengagethePTO,releasethetractionpedal
andsettheparkingbrake.
4.MovethethrottlelevertotheSlowposition,
stoptheengine,removethekey,andwaitfor
allmovingpartstostopbeforeleavingthe
operatingposition.
5.Liftthefootrest,exposingthetopofthemower
deck.
6.Removethedipstick/llplugfromthetopofthe
gearbox(Figure20)andmakesurethatthe
lubricantisbetweenthemarksonthedipstick.

1.Positionthemachineandcuttingunitonalevel
surface.
2.Lowerthemowerdecktothe2.5cm(1inch)
heightofcut.
3.DisengagethePTO,releasethetractionpedal
andsettheparkingbrake.
4.MovethethrottlelevertotheSlowposition,
stoptheengine,removethekey,andwaitfor
allmovingpartstostopbeforeleavingthe
operatingposition.
5.Liftthefootrest,exposingthetopofthemower
deck.
6.Removethedipstick/llplugfromthetopofthe
gearbox(Figure20).
7.Placeadrainpanunderthedrainpluglocated
underthefrontofthegearboxandremovethe
plug,drainingthelubricantintothepan.
8.Replacethedrainplug.
9.Addenoughlubricant,approximately414ml(14
oz),untilthelevelisbetweenthemarksonthe
dipstick.
Note:Donotoverllthegearbox,orthe
gearboxmaybedamaged.
