casterwheelassemblybetweenthecasterfork

7.Slidethebearingspacerintothewheelhub.
Pushtheotherbearingintotheopenendofthe
wheelhubtocaptivatethebearingspacerinside
thewheelhub.
8.Installthecasterwheelassemblybetweenthe
casterforkandsecureitinplacewiththebolt
andlocknut.
ServicingtheCutting
Blades
Maintainsharpbladesthroughoutthecuttingseason
becausesharpbladescutcleanlywithouttearingor
shreddingthegrassblades.T earingandshredding
turnsgrassbrownattheedges,whichslowsgrowth
andincreasesthechanceofdisease.
Checkthebladesdailyforsharpness,andforany
wearordamage.Sharpenthebladesasnecessary.
Ifabladeisdamagedorworn,replaceitimmediately
withagenuineTororeplacementblade.
DANGER
Awornordamagedbladecanbreak,anda
pieceofthebladecouldbethrowntowardyou
orabystander,resultinginseriouspersonal
injuryordeath.
•Inspectthebladeperiodicallyforwearor
damage.
•Replaceawornordamagedblade.
Inspectandcheckthebladesevery8hours.
BeforeInspectingorServicingthe
Blades
1.DisengagethePTO,releasethetractionpedal,
andsettheparkingbrake.
2.MovethethrottlelevertotheSlowposition,
stoptheengine,removethekey,andwaitfor
allmovingpartstostopbeforeleavingthe
operatingposition.
InspectingtheBlades
ServiceInterval:Beforeeachuseordaily
1.Inspectthecuttingedges(Figure24).Ifthe
edgesarenotsharporhavenicks,removeand
sharpentheblades.RefertoSharpeningthe
Blades(page21).
2.Inspecttheblades,especiallythesailarea
(Figure24).Ifyounoticeanydamage,wear,ora
slotforminginthisarea(Figure24),immediately
installanewblade.
DANGER
Ifyouallowthebladetowear,aslotwill
formbetweenthesailandatpartofthe
blade.Eventuallyapieceoftheblade
maybreakoffandbethrownfromunder
thehousing,possiblyresultinginserious
injuryordeathtoyouorbystanders.
•Inspectthebladeperiodicallyforwear
ordamage.
•Nevertrytostraightenabladethat
isbentorweldabrokenorcracked
blade.
•Replaceawornordamagedblade.
