Engine-SpeedSwitch
Theengine-speedswitch(Figure4)has2modesto
changetheenginespeed.Taptheswitchtoincrease
ordecreasetheenginespeedin100rpmincrements.
HolddowntheswitchtoautomaticallymovetoHigh
orLowidle,dependingonwhichendoftheswitch
youpress.
PTOSwitch
ThePTOswitchhas2positions:OUT(START)and
IN(STOP).PullthePTObuttonouttoengagethe
mower-deckblades.Pushthebuttonintodisengage
themower-deckblades(Figure4).
High-LowSpeed-ControlSwitch
TheHigh-Lowspeed-controlswitchallowsthespeed
rangetoincreasefortransportofthemachine(Figure
4).
Mowerdecksdonotoperateinhighrange.T oswitch
betweentheHIGHandLOWrange,raisethedecks,
disengagethePTOandthecruisecontrol,movethe
tractionpedalintheNEUTRALposition,andhavethe
machinemoveataslowspeed.
LiftSwitches
Theliftswitchesraiseandlowerthemowerdecks
(Figure4).Presstheswitchesforwardtolowerthe
mowerdecksandrearwardtoraisethemowerdecks.
Whenstartingthemachine,withthemowerdecksin
thedownposition,presstheliftswitchdowntoallow
themowerdeckstooatandmow.
Note:Thedecksdonotlowerwhileinthehigh-speed
rangeandtheydonotraiseorlowerifyouareoutof
theseatwhiletheengineisrunning.Also,thedecks
lowerwiththekeyintheONpositionandyouarein
theseat.
Cruise-ControlSwitch
Thecruise-controlswitchlocksinthepedalposition
tomaintainthedesiredgroundspeed(Figure5).
Pressingtherearoftheswitchturnsoffthecruise
control,themiddlepositionoftheswitchenablesthe
cruise-controlfunction,andthefrontoftheswitchsets
thedesiredgroundspeed.
Note:Pressingeitherbrakepedalormovingthe
tractionpedalintotheREVERSEposition,for1second,
alsodisengagesthepedalposition.
