systemforleaks,damage,orloosehose
clamps.
Every500hours—Replacetheair-cleanerlter
elements.
Theair-intakesystemonthismachineiscontinuously
monitoredbyanair-restrictionsensorthatwilldisplays
anadvisorywhenyouneedtoreplacethelter.Do
notreplacetheelementsuntilthisoccurs.
Important:Replacethesecondarylterelement
onlyevery3primarylterservices.Donotremove
thesecondaryelementwhencleaningorreplacing
theprimaryelement.Theinnerelementprevents
dustfromenteringtheenginewhenyouservice
theprimaryelement.
Important:Donotoperatetheenginewithoutthe
air-cleanerelementsasthiswouldallowforeign
materialtoentertheengineanddamageit.
1.Releasethelatchessecuringtheair-cleaner
covertotheair-cleanerbody(Figure90).

2.Removethecoverfromtheair-cleanerbody.
3.Beforeremovingthelter,uselow-pressure
air(275kPaor40psi,cleananddry)tohelp
removelargeaccumulationsofdebrispacked
betweentheoutsideoftheprimarylterandthe
canister.
Note:Avoidusinghigh-pressureairthatcould
forcedirtthroughthelterintotheintake.This
cleaningprocesspreventsdebrisfrommigrating
intotheintakewhentheprimarylterisremoved.
4.Removetheprimarylter(Figure91).
Note:Donotcleantheusedelementduetothe
possibilityofdamagetotheltermedia.
Note:Replacethesecondarylterevery3
primarylterservices(Figure92).

5.Inspectthenewlterforshippingdamage,
checkingthesealingendofthelterandthe
body.

7.Cleanthedirt-ejectionportlocatedinthe
removablecover.
8.Removetherubberoutletvalvefromthecover,
cleanthecavity,andreplacetheoutletvalve.
9.Installthecoverorientingtherubberoutletvalve
inadownwardposition—approximatelybetween
