PreparingtoPerformaParkedorRecoveryRegeneration
1.Ensurethatthemachinehasfuelinthetankforthetypeofregenerationyouareperforming:
•ParkedRegeneration:Ensurethatyouhave1/4tankoffuelbeforeperformingtheparked
regeneration.
•RecoveryRegeneration:Ensurethatyouhave1/2tankoffuelbeforeperformingtherecovery
regeneration.
2.Movethemachineoutsidetoanareaawayfromcombustiblematerialsoritemsthatmaybedamagedby
heat.
3.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface.
4.EnsurethattheshiftleverisintheNEUTRALposition.
5.DisengagethePTO,andloweranyattachments(ifequipped).
6.Engagetheparkingbrake.
7.SetthethrottletothelowIDLEposition.
8.Movetheoperation-modeselectortotheHorLposition.
9.Ensurethattheair-conditioningisoff.
PerformingaParkedorRecoveryRegeneration
Whenaparkedregenerationisrequestedbytheenginecomputer,followthemessagesontheInfoCenter.
Important:ThecomputerofthemachinecancelsDPFregenerationifyouincreasetheenginespeed
fromlowidleorreleasetheparkingbrake.
1.AccesstheDPFRegenerationmenu,andscrolldowntothePARKEDREGENoptionortheRECOVERY
REGENoption.
2.SelectthePARKEDREGENentryortheRECOVERYREGENentry.
Note:InitiatingarecoveryregenerationrequiresyoutoenterthecorrectPINcode.
3.AttheVERIFYFUELLEVELscreen,verifythatyouhave1/4tankoffuelifyouareperformingtheparked
regenerationor1/2tankoffuelifyouareperformingtherecoveryregeneration,andpressthenext
screenicontocontinue.
4.OntheParkedRegenmenuorRecoveryRegenmenu,pressthenextscreentostarttheregeneration.
5.AttheDPFchecklistscreen,verifythattheparkingbrakeisengaged,thattheenginespeedissettolow
idle,andpressthenextscreenicontocontinue.
6.AttheINITIATEDPFREGENscreen,selectthenextscreenicontocontinue.
7.TheInfoCenterdisplaystheINITIATINGDPFREGENmessage.
Note:Ifneeded,pressthecancelicontocanceltheregenerationprocess.
8.TheInfoCenterdisplaysthetimetocompletemessage.
9.TheInfoCenterdisplaysthehomescreenandtheregenerationacknowledgeiconappears

Note:WhiletheDPFregenerationruns,theInfoCenterdisplaysthehighexhaust-temperatureicon

10.Whentheenginecomputercompletesaparkedorrecoveryregeneration,theInfoCenterdisplaysan
advisory.Pressanybuttontoexittothehomescreen.
