ballasttothemachine.
Addthecorrectballasttothehitch.
Useballasttopreventthefrontaxleor
tractorcomponentsfromoverloadduring
loaderoperation.
Alwayswearyourseatbelt.
DeterminingtheBallast
Addballasttothehitchuntiltherearaxleweighton
levelgroundisatleast25%ofthegrossvehicle
weight.
Usethefollowingstepsandformulastodetermine
theballast:
1.Putafullloadinthebucket,liftthebuckettothe
furthestpositionforwardasshowninFigure32.
2.Atascale,measurethegrossvehicleweight
(GVW)atthefrontandrearaxle,withtheloader
raisedsothatthebucketpivotpinisashighas
theboompivotpin(Figure32).
3.Usethefollowingformulasintheorderlistedin
thetabletocalculatetheamountofrearballast.
Note:IfRislessthanrequiredrearaxleweight
(RRAW),noballastisrequired(Figure32).
IfRisgreaterthanRRAW,ballastisrequired
(RBR).
