1.Thebattery-electrolytelevelmustbeproperlymaintained.Thetopofthe
batterymustbekeptclean.Ifthemachineisstoredinalocationwherethe
temperaturesareextremelyhigh,thebatterywilldischargemorerapidlythan
ifthemachineisstoredinalocationwherethetemperaturesarecool.
WARNING
•Wearsafetygogglesandrubbergloveswhenworkingwith
electrolyte.
•Chargebatteryinawellventilatedplacesogassesproduced
whilechargingcandissipate.
•Sincethegasesareexplosive,keepopenamesandelectrical
sparksawayfromthebattery;donotsmoke.
•Nauseamayresultifthegasesareinhaled.
•Unplugchargerfromelectricaloutletbeforeconnectingor
disconnectingchargerleadstoorfrombatteryposts.
2.Checkbatteryconditionweeklyorafterevery50hoursofoperation.Keep
terminalsandentirebatterycasecleanbecauseadirtybatterywilldischarge
slowly.

Donotremovellcapswhilecleaning.

water.Rinsewithclearwater.
B.CoatbatterypostsandcableconnectorswithT oroPartNo.107-0392
batteryterminalprotectororpetroleumjellytopreventcorrosion.
WARNING
Connectingthecablestothewrongbatterypostcouldresultin
personalinjuryand/ordamagetotheelectricalsystem.
Ensurethatthecablesareproperlyconnectedtothecorrectbattery
postsbeforeoperatingthemachine.
3.Tightenthebatterycablesonthebatteryterminalstoprovideagood
electricalcontact.
4.Ifcorrosionoccursatthebatteryterminals,disconnectthebatterycables.
Alwaysdisconnectthenegative(-)cablerst.Cleanthecableclampsand
terminalsseparately.Connectthebatterycables.Alwaysconnectthe
positive(+)cablerst.ApplyacoatingofT oroPartNo.107-0392battery
terminalprotectororalightcoatofpetroleumjellytotheterminalstoreduce
corrosionafteryoumaketheconnections.
5.Checkthebattery-electrolytelevelevery25operatinghoursandevery30
daysifmachineisinstorage.

6.Maintainthecelllevelwiththedistilledordemineralizedwater.
