ServiceInterval:Every500hours
Neverinstalladirtylterifitisremovedfromthefuel
line.
1.Shutofftheengine,removethekey,andwait
forallmovingpartstostopbeforeleavingthe
operatingposition.
2.Allowthemachinetocooldown.
3.Squeezetheendsofthehoseclampstogether
andslidethemawayfromthelter(Figure30).

•Drainfuelfromthefueltankwhenthe
engineiscold.Dothisoutdoorsinanopen
area.Wipeupanyspilledfuel.
•Neversmokewhenhandlingfuel,andstay
awayfromanopenameorasparkthat
couldignitefuelfumes.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurfacetoensure
thatthefueltanksdraincompletely.
2.Shutofftheengine,removethekey,andwait
forallmovingpartstostopbeforeleavingthe
operatingposition.
3.Loosenthehoseclampatthefuellterandslide
itupthefuellineawayfromthefuellter(Figure
30).
4.Disconnectthefuellinefromthefuellter
(Figure30).
Note:Allowthefueltodrainintoafuelcontainer
ordrainpan(Figure30).
Note:Thisisthebesttimetoinstallanewfuel
lter,asthefueltankisempty.
5.Installthefuellineontothefuellter.Slidethe
hoseclampclosetothefuelltertosecurethe
fuelline(Figure30).
