theaerator(Figure9).

1.Fullyextendthehydrauliccylindertodetermine
thelocationofthetineheadsandtoverifyifthey
contacttheground.
Note:Onundulatingturf,theoperatorcan
adjustthecylindertomaintaintinedepth
(crestingahill)butitwillbenecessarytohave
thetineheadssetabout5cm(2inches)below
ground.
•Ifthetineheadscontacttheground,turf
damagemayoccur.
Ifthetineheadscontacttheground,adjust
thelocationofthecylinderendstomovethe
topoftheaeratorclosertothetractionunit.
•Ifthetineheadsdonotcontacttheground,
youcaninstallextensionbrackets(included
withaerator)ontothetoplinktomovethe
tineheadsclosertotheground.
2.Retractthehydrauliccylindertoliftthetine
heads.
Important:WhenconnectingthePTO,
donottolifttheaeratorhigherthanis
necessary.Liftingthemachinetoohigh
willcausethePTOshaftknucklestobreak
(Figure10).ShutoffthePTOwhenyouraise
theaerator.YoucanoperatethePTOupto
anangleof25°,butdonotexceeda35°angle
whentheaeratorisatitshighestposition;
otherwise,severeshaftdamagemayoccur.
