1.Disconnectthehydraulichosefromtheparkingbrake
cylinderasshowninFigure29.
Note:Plugtheopenendofthehosetopreventthe
hydraulicuidfromleakingout.

makinganyrepairs.
CompletingtheWorkforthe
Day
Whenyoucompleteyourworkfortheday,dothefollowing:
1.Backllthespoilsinthepart(s)ofthetrenchinwhich
youarenishedworking.
2.Movethemachinetoasafeandstablelocation.
3.MoveallleverstotheNeutralposition.
4.Engagetheparkingbrake.
5.Lowerallattachmentstotheground.
6.Letthemachineidleforafewmomentstocoolit
down.
7.Shutofftheengine,waitforallmovingparttostop,
andremovetheignitionkey.
8.TurnthebatterydisconnectswitchtotheDisconnect
position.
CompletingtheProject
1.Afteryoucompletetheproject,returnthespoilsback
intothetrenchwiththebackllblade;refertoUsing
theBackllBlade(page29).
2.Returnthespoilsintothetrench.
A.Movethemachinetotheendofthetrench,afew
feet(meters)awayfromthespoilpile.
B.Aimthemachineattheouteredgeofthepile.
C.Adjustthebackllbladetottheslopeofthe
ground.
D.Movetheouteredgeofthespoilpiletowardthe
trench.
Note:Makeatleast2passesatthepiletomove
it.
E.Repeatthestepsaboveforthespoilpileonthe
othersideofthetrench.
F.Floatthebackllbladeoverthelengthofthe

3.Spraythedirtandmudoffthemachinewithwater.
