WARNING
Ifyouremovetheradiatorcapfromahotengine,
hotcoolantcouldspray,causingscalding.
•Wearfaceprotectionwhenopeningtheradiator
cap.
•Allowthecoolingsystemtocooldowntobelow
50°C(120°F)beforeremovingtheradiatorcap.
•Followtheinstructionsforcheckingand
maintainingtheenginecoolingsystem.
WARNING
Coolantistoxic.
•Keepcoolantawayfromchildrenandpets.
•Ifyouarenotre-usingthecoolant,disposeofit
accordingtolocalenvironmentalregulations.
CheckingtheCoolantLevelinthe
Reservoir
ServiceInterval:Beforeeachuseordaily
Note:Donotremovetheradiatorllercapduringthis
procedure.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,stoptheengine,
andremovetheignitionkey.
2.Allowtheenginetocool.
3.Removetherightsidepanel;refertoRemovingthe
SidePanels(page35).
4.Checkthecoolantlevelinthereservoir(Figure75).

Radiator
ServiceInterval:Every50hours
WARNING
Iftheenginehasbeenrunning,theradiatorwill
pressurizedandthecoolantinsidewillbehot.If
youremovethecap,coolantmaysprayout,causing
severeburns.
•Donotremovetheradiatorcaptocheckcoolant
levels.
•Donotremovetheradiatorcapwhentheengine
ishot.Allowtheenginetocoolforatleast15
minutesoruntiltheradiatorcapiscoolenough
totouchwithoutburningyourhand.
Note:Thecoolingsystemislledwithantifreezehavinga
mixtureof50%ethyleneglycoland50%water.
